Confined Space Operations - 8 hours
Brief explanation of CFR 1910.146 / OSHA. Interactive definitions of confined spaces vs. permit required confined spaces. Emphasis on needing additional specialized training before making confined space entries for any reason. Discussed potential hazards in confined spaces. Showed slides with wide variety of examples of small and large confined spaces. Explained the need for special safety measures to be followed, such as, atmospheric monitoring, the presence of an attendant during all confined space entries, labeling of the space, etc. Call someone else to help if you become aware of an emergency within a confined space.
